No idea Doc. I am a soft southern nancy ~ I relocated to Shaw (I thought they were called 'yonners') and lived there for just over two years before moving to Manchester, then back down south.

I have fond memories of my time up north.

aye, reet proper folk.
Doc ~ I have been searching for the right tasting meat and tater pie, pudding & gravy and the whiff of Warburtons bakery for the last 20 years since I left Shaw.

Oh what a world.. :o(
Yes Pippa68 I do live in Delph, not right in the village but out in the middle of a field, it is beautiful I have lived here for 34 years. Whit Friday is a wonderful day, you tend to see people you haven't seen for ages.
Anyone coming to Delph tomorrow for the contest I will meet you outside the Bulls Head.
Me and the boyf are going!!

I've never been to the contest, I'm giddy!!
Depends which village you go to I think Delph is the best, Uppermill gets a bit rough later on. Dobcross is a bit cramped, Denshaw is ok but not enough pubs. If you come to Delph dont try to come in the village in a car you wont get through, park outside and walk in.
Bye the way Dot that was very interesting. What a load of rogues.
