Ok.. Me and my ex broke up at the end of 2005 (was together 5yrs) and since then I have been living the single life and having a great time.. no complaints.. I am loving being single.. and was adamant that I wanted to be single for a long time now to make up for things.. but very recently I have started looking at guys completel differently... Instead of looking at them and thinking they are fit... I am more sizing up whether or not I think they would be boyfriend material! I have noticed myself doing it in the last few weeks!
Do you think it's because I am ready to settle down again or just that most of my friends are in relationships? I am so confused! I am having a blast being single!

It gets annoying after a while!
It might be instinct.....

Or you could be secretly broody !! :-)

What does?

I think I am 'relationship broody'... not the baby kind! Perhaps I just need a short meaningless relationship! Lol..
I don't know...
I think it's in us to look for potential mates and now you've had the single life it's coming back. Or you're just noticing it more.

But having a fling would be fun in the mean time!!
I am single again after a long term relationship. And do not ever see myself being in a relationship again
Aww Trinny,you're a lovely person,from what i remember,chatting to you before!..When you're least expecting it..someone special happens!
Question Author
Trinny.. I was thinking the exact same way about a year ago but now my thinking is changing and I must admit... I am looking forward to a new relationship!

Oh a different note.......
I registered to a dating site a few months back.. only coz my auntie made me and I thought I would check out the fitties and chat to people! Some guy messaged me two days ago and we had a little chat and he was quite funny.. then I went offline and when I went back on the nect day I had 3 messages from him.. just random ones.. then he saw I was online and messaged me again... so I told him I was off to cook dinner and would be on later! I didn't bother replying again though.. then I logged in today and I had 2 messages from him and in the last 30mins I have recieved another 3 asking me why I am online and not chatting to him!!!!! Anyone else thinking 'stalker?'
Hi Rubes..
It could be that old adage....."once bitten twice shy"..... Maybe you are being that bit more choosy now :)..... and good on you girl......
A bit desparate at least :-(
Hi Bez!!...Not on msn tonight..trust us to reply at the same time lol !
Ruby..by desparate..I meant him lol !!
Question Author
I did wonder Linda but then I realised! Lol

Maybe you are right Bez... I know I am more choosy and all my friends say I am fussy... but I am sure I have always been fussy!
You go thru phases where you are single and then in relationships.Just go with the flow and see what happens.Hi lindy hi red hi trinny.
Sounds like the sap is rising in this spring air Ruby!!
i think its because your worried about collecting dust on your head ie being left on the top shelf?.
Seriously all jokes aside, its quite common that alot more people are choosing the single {good} life these days, i believe that eventually we all have a reality check and look in the mirror and say what do i want out of life ie children, being married etc etc, there is no law to say that because all your friends have settled down you should.
Only you know what you really want out of life and if its time {if thats what you want} to settle down, i'm sure your make the right decision be it leading a single life or being in a relationship, in the mean time enjoy life to the full.
This clearly stems back from your childhood where you grew up in a family of 3 older brothers, a distant father and an attention-grabbing mother. You are definitely the result of a troubled and unstable past which has subsequently made you crave love and attention from men. If only your father had hugged you more as a little girl...

I urge you to start viewing men as nothing more than sex objects. That is the only cure for you. Start by practicing not to make eye contact by instead ogling their packages. After that you can move onto randomly pinching men's bums in pubs. Within 2 months you'll be cured, I guarantee it.

Good luck, Rubes. x
You are ready, Grasshopper :o)
