Think on the good side. whilst you mention a few monor ailments, they are surely better than

1) Lung cancer
2) Heart Disease
3) Throat cancer
4) Blocked arteries to limbs
5) Premature death
6) Smelling like an ashtray
7) Yellowy council estate fingers
8) Breath like Satan's ar5ehole
9) Save 5 per packet
10) Asthma
11) Emphazema

Ermmmmmm tough choice.

grumpii no not on any mad diet, have put on weight because of eating more, and ok joe point taken.
Joe, you forgot standing outside a pub in the p1ssing down rain while your mates laugh at you.
Your body is changing, it is recovering from an addiction, dont think that killing yourself with cancer sticks is better than a cold, chin up be strong and ugly :)

It took ages for all the toxins to leave my system when i gave up, and almost 2 years for my metabolism to return to normal too. I had similar symptoms to you with colds etc.
Just make sure you're eating a healthy diet, plenty of water, good sleep and exercise, that helped my body get back on track. Also take a good multi vit & min every day. The sores in the corners of your mouth is probably a vit B deficiency. There's no way i'd ever light up another ciggie now, please don't be tempted to go back, you'll get healthy again soon.
your 15 months down the line fruitsalad quite an achievement in itself.
dont really know how you can associate any ill health with the fact that you have stopped smoking,
quite the contrary.
keep up the good work.
(wish i had you're willpower)
hiya fruit.

giving up smoking didnt make you ill. ive known quite a few people that have given up smoking. usually the physical illnesses last a week or two, not 15 months.
you did well to stop smoking.... dont think your troubles will go away if you re-start....

go see your GP or local health worker. ask for a check over and let the experts guide you back to how you were...
:-)
Just don't start smoking again whatever you do. It is a disgusting habit.

And yes...I smoke but I really really wish I didn't :-(
dont go back to smoking please!!!, you might need to up your immune system (boots sell immune system booster supplements)

I packed up 10 years ago, I feel so much better for it (less wheezier!) well done for staying off the cancer sticks!!!!

no intentions of starting to smoke again, was hell giving up the first few months, dont think i could go through that again, i would just like to feel a little healthier.
I gave up smoking in 1999, best thing I ever did,
the cold sores will go eventualy, they are caused by the increased blood supply to your skin, as for the sinus troubles, I would see your GP, the smoking MAY have masked some underlying problem that is now apparent.
Belive me, you were most definatly NOT fitter and healthier when you smoked
