depends who you work for. Luckily I dont get my sickness until the afternoons. If you are really poorly any sickness or illness you have should be classed as pregnancy related and not noted on your sick leave. Cmpanies are all different. You should always inform work that you are pregnant as soon as you can in case anything happens while your at work etc. To cover theire backs as well as yours. They should keep this information private until you are ready to tell everyone. Have you tried eating little and often even if it is just a dry biscuit.?
i told my manager very early on in pregnancy as I was suffering with awful morning sickness. I was finding that I had to go for a walk quite a lot and I was so tired in the afternoons. She was very helpful and even came up with a few excuses to tell the others when I was under the weather. It helped me through my first couple of months and luckily now (at 14weeks) it has eased off a lot. If you look at your company policy and procedures file you willsee that they should be accomodating to you... even altering your working hours if need be.
for someone who suffered greatly with morning-noon-and-night sickness i took advice and went for weekly reflexology, it was superb and after treatment i felt energised, really weird cos by day 6 the sickness came back again, so her weekly treatment was spot on. I think i got to week 13-14 and then it just stopped. Also those little travel wrist bands you get in the likes of Boots really helped too, they work on the acupuncture points in your wrists.
good luck xx
