I have suffered with this for quite a long time now, and have tried most things to clear it up. I never wear trainers, use cotton socks & always dry my feet properly etc, so what is causing it and how can I get rid of it? My dad said to soak my feet in meths every day for a couple of weeks, will this work?

I do not believe it. For the second time today I shall mention wee-weeing on your feet.

More than an old wives tale, I have been told.

so do I wee directly on my foot, or it is safer to put it in a bowl first? I think I may try the meths first, sound a bit more user friendly
In the shower and let it soak in a while. Then wash it off.
Have you tried medical treatments like Lamasil or something.
Question Author
Tried Lamisil, made no difference at all.
Try Tinaderm, it's great. But you have to be meticulously hygienic, and give it at least 2 treatments a day for a few weeks, even after it feels like it's gone.
This is an interesting debate....
Whickerman says be meticulously hygenic and use a medication,...
Joe_the_Lion says pee on your feet!

Please will you try them both and keep us informed?

I am very wary about peeing on my feet, due to the large amounts of white wine I drink - I fear it may do more harm than good!
