hope someone can help me with this- I'm an almost 47 year old female and I've noticed over a good lately that I seem to be experiencing some sort of weakness in my right hand (I am right handed) I think I've probably had it for some time but only really noticed it lately since I've been working in a school and have to write up a diary at the end of the day. I don't do any other writing at school as I'm a special needs supporter so it isn't strain from writing a lot. I use the computer but only at home in my spare time. I noticed it today while hoovering too. It feels like I need to shake my hand and fingers out all the time, like they're really tired and shaky- this is after just a couple of sentences of writing. Does it sound like arthritis or something?

Could be a trapped nerve ....do you get pins and needles in the hand ? Or ...Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which is very common.

Arthritis manifests itself differently ..your hands would be stiff and the fingers swollen ,also you would have pain in the finger joints ....
Go and see your GP ! Hope you soon feel better.
Hi, I have a complaint in my left hand that sounds similar.
Following a trip to my GP I was relieved to learn I have a trapped ulna nerve. There are a couple of places this nerve can become trapped leaving fingers weak and sometimes they tingle. My GP recommended we leave it for a while , use my arm as much as I can and we will review it at a later date. I was reassured it was nothing more sinister. Hope whatever you have eases for you soon.
