Can anyone name any critical success factors of British Airways and RyanAir?

Critical success factors are things that aCompany must get right to succeed - so one for BA might be quality of service and one for RyanAir might be low cost.

Any sensible contributions appreciated!!

I would imagine an ability to keep to the flight times would be critical to success of any airline.

They also need to offer something to make them stand out from the other airlines, so BA offer more longhaul from regional airports, though arguable i guess that it is critical to their succdess. and ryanair offer alot of internal flights that are cheap and regular.
British Airways has a god name- a long term brand name that everyone trusts. It is British, so unlike something like Qatar Airways, British people assume they know what they are getting- this could go for food/passengers/toilet standards etc. Ryanair and easyjet pretty much have budget as the main reason why people choose them. Book in advance and it is now cheaper to fly than get the train.
BAs is the abilty to harrass non BA passengers in to flying with them instead of their rivals, by threats and intimidation...alledgedly.

Ryan Air......cheap as chips flights for a 1
Costs are always an issue, particularly with things such as fuel etc.

Hence when oil inevitably reaches $100 a barrel airlines will visibly suffer more than most industries.

I think we've all established that RyanAir is pretty much all about cost...you get pretty much nothing but transportation from one place to somewhere vaguely near where you want to be.

Hmm. That's all I can really chip in.
