Immodium / IBS

Is it safe to take one Immodium daily / every day for a prolonged period to combat the symptoms of Irritable Bowel?

I think that information is probably available on the packet or see your Dr. the consequences of bad advice from here could be severe.

I know people generally are very helpful and I'm sure no one would deliberately give bad advice, but there are very few qualified Dr's on here and we cannot be sure about those, and they cannot examine you.

i'm sure it will say on the packet, seek medical advice if symtons persist for a few days, and do not take for more than x amount of time, your doctor may perscribe it for prolonged periods, but they will know the answer

Medical opinion is that immodium should only be used as an aid to IBS after diagnosis by a doctor and on his/her recommendation only, and even then your condition would need to be re-examined after 14 days continuous use.Please consult your doctor before use.
