So what you want is help in a deception ? Buy him a small jar of French harissa.

Well, you are in effect asking people to help you deceive someone.....You can't be surprised of getting mixed reactions.
I agree that you didn't ask for opinions on your life choices, but the wording of your post highlights them, and it's hard to ignore the context of your question. Anyway, enough of that. Merry Christmas to you.

yes maximonyou are right. i should have worded it better. i just typed it quickly to avoid going into lots of boring detail. but did not think everyone would be so judgemental about things that i have not even said.

therefore, dont worry about answering, the question is closed!
Hi jelly-baby. What about a special book? Or you could make him a cd of special songs which he could keep at your house. Or maybe tickets to a concert or show that you could go to together?
Well, I just don't know, but I am really appalled that you are being judged - even scruff said it was a provacative question !!! It was a real question, posed well - it didn't provoke lifestyle questions but some folks just dive in with comments. Good luck to you - hope you find something and have a great christmas !!!
Hi jelly-baby, I agree with noxlumos but I probably wouldn't get him something like jewellry... way too suss.. in reality, what are the chances of him buying himself something fancy or expensive? Think of it being the other way round, if you were the wife, what would make you suss? Although you could buy him something he would enjoy and leave it at your house? Failing that, a romantic weekend away would blow his socks off! Live and let live, I say..... as long as you're both happy X
I actually really think some of the answers have been judgmental and rude. You can't know the exact circumstances of WHY they are having the affair, so why comment? Sometimes affairs are kind not cruel, it depends on the individuals, their circumstances and their motives.

Thanks to the last four answers for not being self-righteous like others!

I dont think i'll get him anything now anyway. Who knows, maybe it will all be over by xmas...
Why are people still surprised that they can't limit people's responses to what they want to hear? Once you ask a question like this it is naive to think people will only come up with gift ideas without anyone commenting/giving their opinion on the fact that your lover is married

Yes suzyboo you are right. Lets call this webite a new name...

"Im a self-righteuous tw4t who has never stepped outside the line in my life therefore i can judge anyone before i even consider answering their question"
Don't ask a question on an open forum if you can't cope with the whole variety of responses
I asked a question ages ago and had a nightmare of responses and it turned into a horrible slanging match with assumptions a-plenty... basically everyone thought I was lying about a particular date I went on, which is completely and utterly pointless, especially on a site like this..... it really upset me for the whole day... ;C
dont agree with affairs but like u said we dont know the full story, but if u want something not sussed what about a cd,book,or something sexy for your use only depends on the type of guy

Didnt say i couldnt cope, just wanted an answer to the question rather than a load of judgments about what im doing!!
ummmm's not whiter than white....one of the many things I found out last night.
Of all the worldly passions, lust is the most intense. Make proper use of it. [ Buddha]

wow......we all whiter than white, i heard once, from someone greater than myself....... that if you think about doing something, it is equally as bad as it happening, so who has never had improper thoughts then!!!!

if people enjoy themselves without pain to others where is the problem
Question Author
Oh really NH? Well, he/she thinks they are so tell me more!
