I know that for many of you the question is rhetorical, but I did find myself chuckling during Deal or No Deal. OK, she walked away with 15k, but OMG the box contained the 250K !! And a banker's offer of 60k towards the end. Much wringing of heartstrings and tears, but sorry much giggling chez whiffey.

I expect we'd all be the same, but if you stand on primetime TV to get as much moolah as possible, that's the way the cookie crumbles. BTW I fancy Noel Edmonds like billio.

you're just different Whiffey!

Are you Gay?

Do you mince?

And have you got any hair?
he seemed to rub it in at the end making her feel worse
I LOVE it when they're greedy and lose it all! That's the only reason I watch these shows!
And the moral is...don't be greedy! I always find myself shouting out 'DEAL!!' when they are offered 20 grand or more ~ I guess that would be my target. However I suppose if I were actually there in the studio and had several good boxes left I might try my luck ;o)

On the other hand I am usually happy to see them walk away with a good amount..no matter how greedy they are.

I am nice.

Well actually I do sympathise, I am not all bad lol. When I was on Millionaire I chickened out at the 125k question. It was about the contents of the pimples on toads, and while I was nearly sure I knew the answer, it's not that easy with the cameras and the heat, and Tarrant goading you on.

Isn't Noel a lovable bu$$er ?
I have always loved Noel Edmonds.
BTW, have you seen the US version of DOND? I caught a bit of it on the NBC website the other day...it's pants.

Very flashy ~ the boxes are opened by a bunch of dolly birds up on a stage, and relatives of the contestant have a stage of their own too. The host doesn't have the charisma of Noel either.

The only good thing about the stateside version is that they play for much more money...I think almost a million dollars.
The US one is the only one I've seen - how is your version different (other than the money)?
Personally, I think it's such a boring show.
Oh of course ~ I forgot you are in the US, Estie :o)

Over here we have future contestants opening the boxes..a player is picked at random at the beginning of the show.

Our top money is 250,000 and we don't see the silhouette of the banker..

The game isn't 'glitzy' at all.

I haven't seen the US version drestie, but it's probably pretty much the same except for Noel's twinkling eyes and sexy voice (such a good education).

I was reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyd in between the box openings, and the good luck I hope it's blue, and the flirting with the banker, and the forlorn hope that anything other than pure chance might figure in it.
Whiffey........Yes, you are a miserable sod !! :-))

Must admit to getting some satisfaction when greedy bu88ers go too far!

Pippa, I love Noel as well, Swap shop and a good gunging on a Saturday night. (cant forgive him for Mr Blobby tho!!)
Question Author
Oh come on joby1, don't you remember Mr Blobby with Will Carling !! in the days when it was actually Noel hisself in the costume. I blame the school.

is will carling still alive ?
-- answer removed --
We only 'know' because he was filmed getting out of the costume?! Do you really think he'd have lowered himself?
Well do ya,,,,do ya????
The only similarity between the two versions is the concept of the game, whiffey.

Our version has none of the glitz..and the contestants don't have to slam their hands down on a red button to 'deal'.

And if you are still reading my posts....Noel NEVER dressed as Mr Blobby. How very dare you.
BTW, I meant the Mr Blobby that started singing.
Question Author
Oh yes he was Mr Blobby, voice and all ! He was good at it too. The Will Carling sketch was filmed shortly after England had beaten Scottyland 38-0. I have never seen Noel and Will looking so desirable.
whiffey me too!! On the fancying Noel bit. If the contestants annoy me I do find myself chuckling a bit at their loss, but the ones who have had troubles, it's lovely when they win and I don't think they are such risk-takers.
I heard on the radio the other day, Noel likes to sometimes call up contestents he likes, tries to get to know them a bit better. He doesn't attend their hotel parties but apparantly will txt them asking them out, then say 'Deal or no Deal?'
Deal, Noel : )
I hate this programme so much!!!! I caught the end of it yesterday and wanted to punch that stupid cow for crying after winning 15k! So she could have got more but for god sake woman, you've leaving 15 grand better off stop all the balling! PATHETIC!!!!!! If she thinks that bad then give it to me, I could do plenty with 15k. God even just the though of that programme gets me wound up. Why do they all feel the need to clap themselves for the simple task of picking a bleeding number! It's as if they think they've just won University Challenge or something. gggrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
