burning tongue

I have had a burning tongue for weeks now. Lips are also dry and I have to keep licking them. Don't think it is thrush, as now white spots, or any marks at all. Looks normal in fact. Only smoke a few a day, and i don't eat much spicy food. Any ideas?

Could be anemia.

u could have a mouth infection i had one before and i rinsed my mouth with salt water as often as i could eg after eating,drinking,smoking
also your not doin yourself any favours lickin your lips as the weather is getting cold they might be getting chapped try usin vasalene
