Once had surgery on my hand. A couple beautiful nurses covered me in heated blankets as the sedative kicked in. That was pretty darn lovely.

Got a couple me...

I was doing some law exams and had a really bad cold and felt awful and was on my own in the house. I was really worried if i went to sleep that I wouldn't wake up in time for my exam as i was on sleeping tablets at the time or that if I didn't sleep I'd be wrecked.

My bf at the time lived hundreds of miles away . He'd rung at about 9pm not even knowing i wasn't well. He appeared in the early hours of the morning and sat up all night so i could sleep then took me to my exam in the morning. I never asked or ancouraged him to come down, he just came.

Another former boyfriend who was an ex at the time said, when I told him I'd had a miscarriage (not his, hadn't seen him for a year or so), he was grieving as he knew if I'd had the child that he'd have played a big part in her life and that my losing her was a loss to him as well. One of the loveliest things anyone's ever said to me.
You've got a good taste in ex's Jenna, they both sound supernice men.
The woman who is now my second wife took my children and I in when we turned up, virtually penniless, on her doorstep in London, as I'd given my ex wife every penny, every item of furniture, the house, practically the shirt off my back in exchange for full custody of my children ( she didn't want them, she just wanted to screw everything out of me).
I had not seen her for years, she didn't even flinch at the idea, just welcomed us with open arms, sent out for pizzas and told us this was our home for as long as we needed it.
As we said in another thread jenna, it's the deeper things that matter :)
Give me my lovely children and being a fab dad to them :-D
nox you are a very lucky man , what a great woman you have there.
my husbands first wage in this counrty he bought me my first ever diamond , its not that huge and it isnt ina ring settin or anything yet , but I always wanted a diamond and he knew that.

He does lovely things for me everyday ,, and more so now since I broke my ribs , I think him even gettin me a can of coke from the fridge is lovely.
I know Crete, she's one in a million and she's been the most amazing mother to my older boys you could possibly imagine and our own children, plus I put her through hell initially coming off drugs and drink and dealing with all my baggage and crap. Never ceases to amaze me exactly how great she is. I'm astoudingly lucky and I know it.
About eight years ago a woman whos daughter was killed by a car which mounted the pavement had a memorial statue erected in her memory...after about four weeks some mindless idiots decided to vandalise it and she asked me to make her some wrought iron railings to protect it.
I did this for her free of charge because I had the materials in stock so I had no outlay as such, two weeks later she called me to her house and gave me a very expensive bottle of vintage Moet champagne with two Waterford crystal glasses and a lovely card with a picture of her daughter surrounded by angels and a beautiful message
When my grandad died suddenly a month before I was due to finish uni, my sister drove for three hours to come and get me and then another three hours back home in the middle of the night. She knew I needed to be with my family and I was so grateful to her that she did that for me bearing in mind that she was just as distraught as I was at the news of his death. I love her to bits!!
My wife saying yes, when I asked her to marry me and then giving birth to our two fantastic sons, I am a very lucky bloke.
my girlfriend duz lovely things to me every nite
My boyfiend sent me a heart-shaped pizza on Valentines Day when we were in our teens.
Trivial, I know, but sweet nevertheless. And were still together after30 years
Before my wife and I were married, we were walking through a beautiful village where my grandparents used to live, and I loved as a child. There was a man painting a view of the drive up to the church where I was Christened. Without me knowing, my wife tracked the man down, bought the painting he was working on that day, and gave it to me for my birthday. I think of her every time I look at the picture, it was such a kind thing to do.

Life had thrown me many years of the most intense trauma and difficulties - my fight against bone cancer, raising three children on my own (my husband couldn't cope with my diagnosis and left), my oldest son's death from brain cancer, establishing and running a charity and my becoming disabled myself.

After 20 years of being on my own dealing with all the above I had lost touch with the woman I had once been - the happy, fun, vibrant, attractive and feminine me. I looked after myself, but had taken to dressing in unisex clothes, never wanting to attract any man's attention. I had been a model when young, before all these difficult years and now looked so different. I was confident in my mental abilities, but had lost all confidence in my looks and my worth.

Then one day I met a man who managed to break down the barriers I had built up around myself. He made me feel I am all the things I want to be, intelligent, beautiful and so very respected and loved. And he makes me feel this way every day! I have never felt so cherished and so happy before. He makes my heart smile every day! :o)
Could think of many, but my daughter always beats everyone hands down. She is 5. Last year she had a really nasty tummy bug spent the whole night being sick every 10 min if not less. In the end we just gave up trying to go to sleep. She just lay there picking different subjects to talk about and we would try and keep our spirits up that way. Well she must have noticed me sneakily yawning coz she just gave me a hug and said that I was tired and I should try and get some sleep, according to her she was a big girl and would be OK and because I was looking after her all night it was her turn to look after me. That warm feeling was worth staying up all night for. Just like the other morning when instead of waking me up she stayed in her bedroom quietly playing after making her bed all by herself, I mean I couldnt have done a better job, so she must have spent some time on it. Its the little things that make me happy :0)
