How can I get rid of an ingrown hair?
I have a red lump on my bikini line, and i can see that it is an ingrown hair (it looks quite long-1cm or so), but its quite deep, so i cant pick off the skin with tweezers to get to it!
What are the implications of just leaving it alone?

i think,,,,,,they turn into boils,not sure though,
There's not a lot you can do about it. Just keep washing it and exfoliate the area. This'll prevent ingrown hairs in the future and help with the one you have now.
For ingrown pubic hairs along the bikini line, hold a hot compress against ingrown spots for ten minutes three times a day to soften the skin and help the hairs work their way out.
Well I had one on my inner thigh once, and I tried squeezing it, next day it looked like a carbunkle, I mentioned it at A&E where work had sent me with a knee injury, got tablets for the knee, but had to have an operation for the spot! and weeks worth of daily dressings to pack where they had drained it. Apparently caused by an ingrown hair folicle. Good Luck.
Best to go to a skin specialist so they can remove it. Good luck.
you get stuff that has a witch hazel base that dries the spot out so that the hair emerges. Boots had it - I 'think' it was a Skin Doctor product.

I, personally, prefer the "pick, pick, pick" method - more fun and much more scarring.

Exfoliation works as a preventative measure.
Glycolic acid 15% night cream.
Got mine from ebay.. so do a search.

Its like...... incredible. My 4 month old ingrowing hair surfaced after 4 days of the treatment. I applied it before bedtime and then after my morning shower.
I apply it now once a day on the area where I always get ingrown hairs... and I now dont get them.

Use only VERY small amount.

Great for your face as well.....sparingly.

Miracle.
a relative of mine had to have an operation to remove one. He was taken ill & rushed to hospital.
I know I can be weird - but the thought of pulling out a four month old hair would be heaven to me. It would be some length, you would have to pull and pull.

tea tree oil is great for ingrowing hairs..

It's like my heaven sent product!
I use it on spots on my face.. dries them out without leaving a scar.. for breathing in when i have a cold, really good for dandruff aswell...

You can get a little "essential oils" sized bottle of it from superdrug for 2.99. worth a try and even if it doesnt work for you you can keep it for everything else!!!
