what time of night would you consider it to be a bit late to play music even if it was at a low volume?

if its a low volume then i dont see any problem playing it at any time...i do!!
If a week night 11:31 if at the weekend, unless you live in a field, i grew up in the country but we didn't have any decent tunes then, just the stones and status quo
Until someone complains, they always do .....say sorry and then you'll know their breaking point, problem solved
If it's at a low volume then it shouldn't be a worry. It's only when it's at an audible level which can be easily heard by others that it can become a problem. I think that it also depends on whether or not it is midweek or the weekend as I know that I tolerate a lot more when it is the weekend but I would be offended by music being blasted late at night midweek.

Do you have thin walls ? Or are you meaning that you keep your windows open and are worried about the sound carrying ? If not , then I don't see how playing it at a low level which can't be heard by others outside your home would be annoying. Or are you upsetting others within your household ?
