My friend confided in me earlier that at the weekend her and her fella got a bit carried away whilst doing what couples do and she now has a tear inside her (I cringed when she told me) and this tiny tear is making her life hell, when she goes to the toilet the wee stings when it makes contact with the tear and though I had a tear after giving birth I can't remember how long it lasted or the best relief so she asked me to ask on here for any tips!

Thanks in advance!

Orangesauce she said it is painful and she's never having sex again!!! she wants to know if vaseline is safe to put 'up there' God, she's got me cringing again here just thinking about it!!
If its 'up there' how come its hurting when she wees?
I shall have a few words on my mums clubs and see if anyone has any tips
Considering its used as a lubricant for sex Kate tell her I should hope its safe :-)
my b/f accidentally nicked me in that area with his nails once and the pain when I went for a wee was unbearable.Sounds stupid but I had to pour a jug of cool water over my bits whilst I was weeing and this diluted the urine so it didnt sting. And the salts baths are an excellent idea as well.

She says it's about an inch from the opening in her vagina and so when she pees it's making contact!
ive asked on a birthing board and shall report back if they have any other ideas

Pinkfizz she says to say to you - thanks for making her feel like she's not the only one in the world to have got a tear in this way and she also says it bloody well hurts doesn't it?!

I have to say she has had me in stitches with the faces she's been pulling when telling me about it!! bless her!!!

She says thanks redcrx, that's really kind of you!

We have to go out to the shops now but keep any tips coming and we'll read them when we get back, and yes, we've put vaseline on the shopping list!!!

I'm never going to let her get over this, this is classic!
awww, tell her she's welcome. You wouldn't believe how the teeniest nick can hurt so much - I was in tears! Oh,and if she drinks loads of water as well this will dilute her urine as well so it wont be as strong and sting so much.Poor thing!
oh the poor thing, I tore when having Mini Boo, and having that stitched back up again was more painful than the actual childbirth!

Anyways- can highly recommend the salt baths, they really do help.

Tell her Good luck- oh and to kick her bloke in the goolies, see how he likes pain....men! Pah!

Thanks once again from my friend, we've just got back in from the shop and I've been laughing because she's walking like John Wayne without his horse!! She said I'm cruel for laughing and I know I am but I can't help it!!

Pinkfizz, she's been drinking lots of water but it still stings her, she's hopeful it will stop soon, she's getting scared to wee!!

BOO, she said she's going to give him a good kick and she's never doing 'the rough stuff' again!!

Chazza, thanks for that link, we had a laugh though with the image of her putting the cream on then trying to apply a plaster if necessary!!

Thanks again all, she's cheered up a bit and I'm sure in a few days she'll look back and laugh! I know I'll be laughing for a while!!
When i was pregnant with my son the midwife stretched me and was a bit rough trying to get the baby's head out and caused a nasty graze, it stung EVERY time i went to the loo! As far as i recall it did'nt go away until about 2 weeks but i did put vaseline etc... A good trick i did to pee comfortably was to pee in the shower with the hose directly pointing at the area that was painful.. I found this was effective and really helped, then i just pat myself dry with a towel and apply a little vaseline.

This really worked for me and was soothing. Hope this helps your friend.
