A question below about chocolate got me thinking (yes I'm amazed at that too)....anyhoooos....I digress...

Do most women feel guilty if they eat chocolate or foods considered unhealthy/fattening? Do you deliberately deny yourselves these foods?

I think I might be on my own in thinking that if I want summet, I eat it and bu88er any weight gain I might get from it, I can't think of anything sadder than not enjoying food.

soooooooooo, my question is......do you deny yourselves?

That's sorta the point I mean McFluff....it really doesn't enter my head to even contemplate denying myself summet.....

am I weird in thinking (or not thinking in this case) this way?

And lay off the "yes you're weird anyway" type of replies...I'm onto you lot ;-)

Like ya thinking Mcf.........lol
No I eat dark chocolate and thats quite good for you. But I'm not a big chocolate fan anyway. Cheese is my vice. :-(
Not weird at all Boo (well, not in this case ;0p)

If I want something fattening I eat it and enjoy it. Life is too short to worry about everything that you put in your mouth! And food is there to be enjoyed.

Someone pass me a steak in pepper sauce, a glass of red and a chocolate brownie... ;0)
nope never, I don't have mush of a food problem or weight problem and I eat healthily when i feel like it.

that's what i meant China Doll. I've actually seen women in Tesco checking out the fat contents on packets before they buy every item and thought "oh Gawd, I couldn't be bothered"

Obviously if there's a medical reason why you have to watch EVERYTHING you eat I fully understand, but to do it to stop yourself adding on an extra pound? It's just too sad for words...

yours
a 24 stone Boo............ lol
Everything in moderation Boo.
It can be very difficult to lose weight and I'm not what you'd call average or ideal weight for my height. I think if you're uncomfortable with you weight and it's affecting your confidence then you have to look at ways to change it, but if you're happy then why worry?

Damn no! Id rather be fat n happy than skinny n miserable!! So long as Im doing plenty of exercise during the week then I dont feel too bloated and if I dont feel bloated at any time then I know Im doing alright. ;o)
So far today I've eaten 2 packets of crisps and a brown baguette with ham and salad. Oh, and two chocolate cookies.

Yesterday it was a peach, salad, spag bol and fruit salad with crme fraiche. None of these were planned in advance. It was just what I fancied eating.
nooooooooooooo. BUT i am ver self concious but thats a whole different story!! if i want choccy il eat it. and i worry about the consciuences later!! if i deal with them at all!!

same as champagne said, id rather be fat and happy than skinny and unhappy!!

even though i do moan about my weight alot, i think stuff it most of the days!! just get on with it!!
Chocolate is an essential food. It is needed in premenstrual women, menstruating women, the other two weeks in the cycle and after menopause.

It has essential chemicals in it that help us deal with idiotic males, it prevents us killing them when they ask stupid questions or when they just annoy us.

I am 18 stone and going down, and am now off out for my daily medicine.
I crave chocolate a lot, the dark bitter kind is actually supposed to be great and healthy and isn't too fattening either. If i indulge, I'll eat till I'm full but then I'll eat less for the rest of the day. Its not really guilt, morelike nausea from over-indulging (sometimes) ...

I think that we should get it on prescription.

I work in Oxfam a couple of days per week - the FairTrade chocolate is gorgeous. It isn't as nice as Galaxy, but what is?

My late father, who had no idea about women, bought my sister-in-law, my friend and I real Belgium chocolates during a little trip to Belgium. He thought that they would last months. The three of us sat and guzzled them and he just sat staring at us in utter amazement. We did offer him some, but he didn't like it. During the war he said that he always kept his chocolate for his sisters, as it was a treat for girls - something boys didn't fully appreciate.

My little neice/niece aged 2 thinks that the words chocolate and shopping are inter-changeable. What is the point of shopping if you don't buy chocolate!
