http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/healthy_living/you r_weight/bmiimperial_index.shtml - this calculator will show you your BMI, then gives you the ideal weight underneath the answer. it only goes on height and weight though not age.

dont feel pressured to lose weight because your going on holiday, you should be happy with who you are at 17 not worrying about weight (even though i know the media doesnt help with showing anorexic looking girls!!!).

hope this helps x

according to this any where between 8 1/2 st and 9 1/2 stone is ideal for your height - but this doesn't mention age.

don't feel pressured into slimming just coz you're going away, you won't enjoy your holiday - go away, eat loads, drink loads and enjoy yourself!

Hi
I have been losing weight steadily for nearly a year now and have so far lost nearly 3 and 1/2 stone - i have done it slowly meaning it wont come back on as soon as i relax my diet - the only thing i can suggest is take it slow and do plenty of exercise but DO NOT over do it. Easy things to change your diet is simple things like cutting sugar out of tea and coffee. u should only try and loose 2lb on average per week or loosing it to fast will mean it goes straight back on. if you need extra help and advise ask your gp to refer you to a dietician - good luck
I really find that the Rosemary Conley books are great, and within a week of trying all the low fat cooking you lose all desire for all those fattening things. Not only that but you feel a million dollars ! Well worth a try, and its not like being on a diet and you are far more likely to change your way of eating for life.
