Dentist jabs,eeeeeurgh!

Had to go have 2 fillings today,hate dentists,hate em,hate em,hate em,Got a real problem with them,phobia good and proper,anyway,had the jabs and now the numbness has worn off my moth and cheek is feeling really tender and i'm feeling real sorry for myself,how long before the soreness/bruising begins to go?Need some real TLC!!Thanx!

usually takes a few hours - you'll start getting a tingly feeling when the drugs (if only...) start wearing off.

i've got to go for a filling next week - arrgghh!!!

yep the numbness and tingly feeling gone but feels really bruised where it was jabbed,feels swollen just wondered how long before that wears off??

Hi Electricblue, you poor thing! If I remember it only takes the day and then the next day I am normally okay! I hate the tingling feeling more than any soreness. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Usually takes 3 - 4 weeks to feel normal again.

In your case - about 2 - 3 months !! lol ;o)

I had to have two fillings done aswell. They were gonna do one without the needle but when they started drilling it i was like aaah so they gave me another needle. My mouth was numb for hours after.

OH a lady dentist, iv'e never had a lady dentist the old boy I used to look like he dribbled from just about everywhere, lol

Bless ya all,took some ibuprofen and been bought loads more,but its them round ones and i cant take them so having to chop them into 4 pieces,how sad is that,,,lol?
