I think I may have hay fever, even though it's quite early in the year. What can I do about it?

You've probably got allergic rhinitis - the lining of the nose can be sensitive to many things other than grass pollen. Some people react in this way to dairy products or some red wines. If you don't want to see your doctor try Rhinolast or one of the non-drowsy anti histamines - Allereze works for me. There are also herbal 'remedies' around.
