Does anyone know if it is possible to be allergic to brown rice but not white? everytime I eat brown rice, the next day I have really bad stomach cramps and end up on the toilet. (sorry to be graphic!!) but if I eat white rice I don't have any problems!!!!

If you google "brown rice white rice" as I just did you will find loads of helpful information. Here is an example that addresses your specific problem:

I find the same 'stimulatory' effect that you do, but persevere because I love brown rice so much. It's worth the discomfort (unless really bad) in the knowledge that it's all good fibre !

As a matter of interest, what do you typically eat with brown rice, and what with white ? I will usually have white/basmati rice with curries, brown with Spanish Chicken, cold meats, etc. I don't help my own situation by adding hot chilli sauce to everything. Happy eating !

very similar to yourself to be honest, if I have a spicey meal (such as a curry or chilli), then i tend to have white rice, but if I have a meal that is creamy (like a stroganoff) then I will generally have it with brown rice. but as i said, I never seem to suffer if it is white rice!! however I too really enjoy it!
