I would just like to extend a formal apology to all for beng grouchy in the extreme during the hours of 8.30 pm and 11.30 am fri/sat GMT.

In my defence, your honour, I was troubled by a nuisance noise making tractor in the late hours of the night, then awakened by a flock of ravenous seagulls devouring creatures disturbed by said nuisance tractor, I also had some kind of freaky migraine, headachy thing that meant I had to read and type with my right eye closed and I didn't have any painkillers in the house, my husband is away on business and has been so for the last 3 weeks, and so was unable to pop out 10 miles down the road to the nearest 24/7 for some drugs. I did try some baby calpol, but it didn't really cut it so I had to just suffer really the anxst of a restless night, drifting in and out of a troubled sleep in which key personalities from a popular questions and answers site kept starring and thus making it difficult to differentiate between the conscious and the un. I was then awakened this morning at 5.30 am by the children. they had apparently not suffered at all and had had a fitful sleep and were now apparently ready for their morning porridge and perhaps a swift stroll down the beach? I was not however and so the grouchiness began to grow exponentially.
this then resulted in my kurt and unbending responses to mean/prococative comments directed to me personally. I am not saying you didn't deserve it, just apologising for my lack of cheek turning which is my usual stance.

|Anyways, alls well that ends well, I now plan a relaxing evening with a glass of chardonnay and a bag of minstrels.

again, apologies to all. I think we have seen the end of her.
love
mimi

good idea crete; may well do so. You'll notice from the post also that this morning was doubly bad as i was wakened by a) the seagulls and b) the children 2 rude awakenings in one morning, shish.

:-)
awww mimififi, i can sympathise with the migraney thing!! have a relaxing bath, candles and some music and veg out on the couch with your duvet, a bottle of wine and bumper bags of chocolate!!!

take care xx
is the old man back soon? when he is back take off for a few days tell him you are having a nervous breakdown unless you have at least 3 days at a health spa you will go mad !!!!!!!!!!!

I think I have already gone mad, either that or I am just desperate for adult conversation. And all I can say is, he better bring me back the BIGGEST kimono and LARGEST bottle of saki in the world.......I expect he will just come home and require tlc for the long and tiresome trip he has just had abroad in an exotic location away from the remortgage and the 5 children, the naughtiest dog int he world, the wedding from hell that I had to go last weekend, the noisiest tractor, the raucus seagulls and the added pressure of are we emigrating or not.

i sometimes think it must be rather wonderful to be a man and not have all that extra stuff buzzing around in side your head all day, to just think about oneself and one thing and one time.....ahh tell me to stop: I have stopped with the grouching.

Anyway, i shall do all the things you good ladies suggest. My two oldest are doing the washing up for me (they recognise exponential grouch - they have radar.) and the baby has already gone down. Don't know where the other two are, it's a bit quiet frankly, so I'd better go and investigate.....ominous.

enjoy your evenings too you guys. Hope you do something exciting/relaxing/stimulating/sexy etc etc.....
