sex and glandular fever

Well I had glandular fever when I was 16 and the last thing on my mind was sex!
I was told that for 3 months after the symptoms died down that I wasn't to strain or carry anything heavy (as in lift a heavy wheelbarrow, I was doing a horticultural course at the time) as I could rupture my spleen and hemorage (my word, can't remember how to spell that word at all!). I was also told to not drink alcohol for at least 6 months. This was 13 years ago.

The only risk is the other person catching it through kissing, otherwise its fine as long as you don't exhaust yourself!

in both ways really. I wasn't sure if saliva was the only bodily juice it could be passed through! As for contraception, I'm now on antibiotics for my throat so I guess my pill is quite useless at the moment.
