Get a fan in the bedroom, don't use bed clothes (sheets, jammies etc)
we got a fan. we just leave it on all night it's bl00dy lovely!! xXx
air con. It's beautiful :-D
I'm currently using toothpicks to keep my eyes open! Shop ran out of fans...
A tepid shower before going to bed, and if you don't have a fan, leave all the windows open so that any cool breeze which exists can blow through the house. An feezer ice pack wrapped in a waterproof polythene bag will also temporarily cool the bed down.
i,ve got a fan in my room. she stands in the corner going "stevie, you'r the greatest."

keep the curtains/blinds shut all day to stop the sun heating the room up, then open them a bit at night so they dont block out the fresh air coming in the window.
Perhaps I need a fan like that. I've got a dialysis machine in the corner of my room, but it keeps on taking the p1ss out of me. arf.
get an air con unit from home base 149.00 its the best money ive ever spent, ice cold room cos i set it at a low temp and a brill night sleep
oooh sweetdor - I might get one of those!
pink -fizz and they are on small casters so you can move it from room to room during the day, truely its the best ever every where is so kool its unbelievable you should invest in one
Spray magicool all over the room and above the bed
got air con fitted to bedrooms a few years back - industrial unit left over, fitted on the sly. It's great - you need winter quilt with it on!! Bliss!
If I leave my windows open, I can woken up by inconsiderate people coming home from nights out around 1 / 2am. In the morning, by the crows at 5am & then inconsiderate d.i.yers at around 8am. I can`t win. lol
anyone fancy working 3 shifts ?

ive been working all night, sweating like you wouldnt believe then get home and have a cool shower. climb into a bed that is too hot for most of us to sleep in and cant have the windows open because of noise !
i wake hourly and can feel the heat climbing...

give me a nice FROST !!!!! LOL
sounds like hell funkymoped. bless you!
I keep my fan on all night and the windows open, doors too, to let the air flow through (if there is any)
Fill a hot water bottle with water and crushed ice...wrap it in a towel and use it as a pillow....it is absolute heaven!!!!
Also
get one of those straw mats that u use on the beach ... and put it on the bed...this dissapates ur body heat as opposed to the matress.
Or
do as i did.....i called my ex last night just to get the cold shoulder.....
(u can use someone u are not currently getting along with)

Oh for the autumn ....wooly jumpers....and long walks in the crisp evening air
You need to wear yourself out in the day so you are knackered at night.
Got this tip from holiday rep in Crete when over there in a heatwave.
Take your bedsheet into the shower, soak both yourself and the sheet in as cool water as you can bear. Wring the excess water out of the sheet, dry yourself off then go to bed covering yourself with the damp sheet. You should easily fall asleep before the sheet dries as this will keep you cool. If you wake up baking hot later in the night - repeat.
This really works.
Buy a timer for your fan, you can programme it to turn off after a few hours and then to turn on when you wake up, it's great and you don't waste electricity.
Also put cold water on your face
i install aircon give me a call if you are in the hertfordshire area my prices are very competitive callme on 01727 857663 mob 07831491550
