pregnant/period/oh god!!

ok here the thing.

im 17 and me and my girlfriend lost are virgintiy to each other 3 weeks ago (2 weeks and 6 days actually :)
we had to break up 2 days after because of her dad, so i have not actually been able to talk to her properly since, only through email.

She is now three weeks late. but we used a condom and i only came once.

so im wondering if girls having sex for the first time efffects there period cycle. ????

im absulety cr*pping myself. surely we cant be that unlucky.???

Did you check the condom to see if it had broken?

If you had sex three weeks ago, and your girlfriend is three weeks late, I doubt she is pregnant.

Does she usually have a regular cycle? having protected sex doesn't mess with a mentrual cycle but stress can..maybe the problems she has been having with her dad has messed with it. In any case, if she is so late maybe a pregnancy test would be a good idea. In the meantime, calm down :o)

As for the stress making periods late i once went 5 months without one so i can assure you that stress does affect it.
Make sure your girlfriend takes a pregnancy test asap. Its the only way to know.

Unfortunately, anything is possible. Could be v v unlikely but the only way to clear it up is to do a pregancy test as pippa suggested. That'll stop you both worrying.

Any chemist will sell them - I would suggest getting 2, rather than just 1, and testing both at the same time to avoid the minimal possibility of it being an incorrect result. I scared myself stupid with a dud test once upon a time.

If funds are an issue and you can't afford to buy these kits or are too embarrassed to, she should go to the GP who will do it for free...although oviously, this will take longer to book appointment etc etc.

As she's over 16, the GP also HAS to keep it confidential so parents won't find out. I think family planning clinics do the same thing too.

yeah i checked to make sure that the condom hadnt broke. it was fine.

how much are the pregnancy test??

well from what you are saying, she was already late when you had sex??
If so i doubt very very nuch she is pregnant. Especially as you used a condom. When i was 17 i used to worry every single month about being pregnant even though i was on the pill and used condoms ... maybe she is just paranoid, and it's infectious so you've caught it?
The only way to be sure, as mentioned above is by her taking a test - about 10 pounds from chemists/supermarkets

Boots'll sell them, yes. As will any other chemist. Near the condoms I suspect.

...don't bother with the saver's 99p ones, they are rubbish, my mate took 5 of them , the results were very hard to decipher...
