Not every smoker actually wants to quit, you know, we're not all 'failed ex-smokers'. Some people smoke because they enjoy it. But, thanks to the pressures of the anti-smoking whingers, smoking can be a little expensive so many smokers want to cut down a little to save on cost. As regards passive smoking, well, I have to agree that something has to be done about it. It is just not fair. If I came along and just sat in your house 'passive television watching' I'm sure you'd object. Or if I just decided to sit in your car and do some 'passive driving' then I am sure you'll not be too pleased either. After all, you've paid a fortune for a television licence or petrol, so why should I be allowed to benefit for free ? In fairness the same should apply to passive smoking. Why should non-smokers be allowed to benefit from the smoke which genuine, law-abiding, tax-paying smokers have paid good money for ? It really shouldn't be allowed. Passive smoking should not be allowed by law and severe penalties introduced for transgressors. Alternatively, passive smokers could be made to pay a fee for the smoke they passively consume.
