it's something i'd love to believe in....and it's stories like yours that give me hope! :o)

i met mr,scruff on a dating site that was 20 months ago.Im movin in with him at the end of july!
MY eldest son got divorced and after that started talking to a woman on the internet from Australia. After a while he went to Canberra on holiday to meet her and later on she came to England. They got married 6 years ago and he is now living in Oz and has got his dual citizenship.

It was the best thing he has done and certainly they are extremely happy together.
Different circumstances for me, but met my wife on a holiday romance in 1988, knew straight away she was the one for me and vice versa, been married 16 years now with two children {boys 10 & 13}

So Why not

Hope all works out for you both

i thought id met mr right online it was all whirlwind and very romantic then i discovered him cheating on me when i confronted him he attacked me and my home with an axe and threatened to kill my cats i later discovered i was fiancee number 5 and that there was 7000 missing from my bank account he is currently with fiancee number 6 in leighton buzzard refusing to work cos of an alleged bad back and apparently still prowling the web so anyone coming across a biker called crash/deadmanwalking watch your back hes a gold digging psycho but thrilled to know it works out for some. all the best
All the internet has done is widen our pool of possible mates, now instead of someone down the road it can be someone in another country, and I believe the same love at first sight which lasts forever, or the same disasters can occur. In one way I think it is almost a better way of getting to know someone because you get to know the mind first before the body .
I just wanted to say that I think your story is wonderful and it's people like you and your fiancee who give everyone hope.....although thats not to say that everyone on the internet would find a similar experience (bit of a bad time ay Ms.Hijinx!!!). I just think that if your quite an open person and optimistic enough about love at first sight and such things, thats when you are more likely to find something like the above!
Just wondering why the wedding has been so long coming when you proposed so quickly?
Too right I believe in love at first sight and internet relationships! I met my husband online on a dating site and we emailed for a few weeks before meeting. We hit it off straight away and he moved in with me three months later. We got married 3 years ago and are very happy. I think it helps to email first as you get to know someones likes and dislikes before meeting up for the first time. I recommend it as a way to meet like minded people. Its for people of all ages (we are 56 and 60!!) so to anyone thinking of trying online dating, I say give it a go-could be the very best thing you ever do!
Great to hear stories like yours... makes you go all warm and fuzzy inside!

I don't believe in love at first sight, I think you can really lust after someone or have a powerful attraction but not love... that said, loads of people will tell you that it can happen so maybe it's subjective to the person.

My mum just got married to someone she met on an internet dating site and is really happy. I don't think it's something I'd like to do tho, I like to watch peoples faces and eyes when I'm talking to them. That said, I think it's cool when these things work out... different strokes for different folks and all that.
