Hi, I've just been diagnosed with MS, and I need some ideas for a tattoo design. I want it to remind me to be positive, and look to the future. It's going on my front somewhere, but I haven't decided where yet. I've got some other tattoos, so it can be pretty big and elaborate.

I want something quite colourful and pretty and feminine.

(I've gone off the idea of an eye on my back now - I don't want to be looking into the past!!)

Any ideas everyone?

Thanks so much for your help

Ooh, I'm going to get it on my wrist. I've already got a tattoo there that I got when I got married, so I'll do a circle of significant stuff round my wrist, like a charm bracelet, and then the rest of me can be rubbish!!

Thanks agains

One idea I always liked is a phoenix rising from the ashes. Also I love tattoos of cherry blossom trees winding round an arm/back/chest - symbol of growth and beauty?
How come you've been warned about a white one? I've asked my tattoist and he said it would be ok (I'm fair skiined though) but might have to be gone over a couple of times just so you can see it properly.

Another tattooist refused me but he did my gfs tattoo and it was rubbish - he had a bad attitude as well.
lol Flip-Flop, i've got M.S and my nurse said it wouldnt be a good idea because of my immunity system being tits up!!!
how about a sun?

it simple and is the symbol of rising for a new day
Footprints leading up to the edge of the shore and the sun in the background. How beautiful.
Hi doglady,

hope things go well for you, I think I would go for a tatoo of my children when they were very young
I'm not brave enough but I've always liked the image of an angel on my shoulder. There are some pretty good designs around.

Good Luck.

Yes, I'm OK.

I'm a very positive person, and it's not getting me down at all, or affecting my life.

In fact, I'm off to see Take That tonight at the last minute. My legs are all numb, but I'm sure Mark and Howard will make me forget all about it!!

Can't wait!

So yes, I'm cool, and thanks so much for your concern.

I love the idea of a sun, I think I will work on that, and I can get it on my wrist and carry on my little charm bracelet of tattoos.

No, I've just read back about the angel on your shoulder. I'm now thinking I might get a little angel on the front of my shoulder so that most of it is under my bra strap, or under the strap of any little tops I might wear. I don't wear strapless stuff, so should be easy to cover up if I need to.
