My sister has a real problem waking up in the morning. She has about 4 different alarm clocks going off at the same time, and she still sleeps through them all, sometimes up to an hour! She geniuinly doesn't know they are going off, and is often late for work. Can anyone recommend anything?

Maybe the problem is them going off at the same time. I actually set my first alarm for 5.30 then I reset it for 7.30 then again for 8 making me think that Ive had two lay ins. :-)
I used to do a similar thing to 4getmenot. I found it hard to wake up quickly, so would set one alarm for a hour before i had to get up.
Has your sister got blackout blinds or something thats preventing natural light waking her? Im sure there are alarm clocks that had a light built in which gradually gets brighter, supposedly to minic the sun rising.
Yer them alarm clocks sound good. Its often when you get in a deep sleep then wake up suddenly that you dont want to get up. So as with the different timed alarm clocks or the alarm clock redcrx has suggested you are gradually waking yourself up. :-)
maybe she should try going to bed earlier. this way she might get enough sleep and find it easier to wake up. she could use a clock radio also to wake her and have the volume turned up.
Get her to drink 2 pints of water before bed. That way she will NEED to get up early!
I'm quite bad, I have 4 or 5 alarms set on my phone, which go off every 10 minutes or so - sometimes I manage to turn them off in my sleep, usualyl I just go straight back to sleep after. Maybe she needs one of those really really loud bell alarm clocks, placed out of arms reach so she has to move to turn it off. Drinking lots of water sounds like a good idea too!

She should also try going to bed a bit earlier. And keeping one alarm clock by the door of her room, another by the window, another in the bathroom and finally, the 4th one by the front door. By the time she is done finding and turning themall off, she should be wide awake and ready to start her day for work.
