Check out this site posy! (having to do this very quickly as rushing out the door to school and work)

flowers

We sent some to my mother in Law for the Birthday and she was over the moon!!! With orders over 16 they send free choclates too!
I am using them all the time for Birthdays etc..

Hope this helps

In rush too so can't post site (sorry), but M&S have a delivery service for flowers and wine etc.

Received wine from sis-in-law - 2 bottles for about 16 i think.

:0)

A baloon in a box, I have sent many now, just the big huge smiley faces make people smile :-)
Local florists should do baloons and they are about a 7-10.00.
yeh,I ve had a balloon sent to me and it really made me laugh.Or you could send earrings - very light in weight so postage would be low.Or any costume jewllery, bath stuff, make up/make up bag, knickers!!

I misread that last one as 'make up, big knickers...'

My eyes haven't woken up yet, LOL..

All suggestions sound great ~ especially the flowers & chocolates!

Jewellary. It is small and light so won't cost much to send and which woman does not like jewellary?
If she enjoys reading, how about a book token? Lightweight to post, and can then choose something of her own choice and will probably get a lot of pleasure from it. If she likes gardening, a National Gardening Gift Token, available from any good garden centre, will allow her to indulge in buying some plants or gardening equipment. Or perhaps a CD token, exchangable in any good music shop, or W.H. Smith.
A lot depends on how old she is. I for one would not appreciate jewelry as I only wear 3 items. Flowers, even thogh lovely, are a very personal thing. The only ones I like are daffodils & sweetwilliams. I would n`t thank you for roses, orchids etc. Funny sod I know. lol
You don't like jewellary!(she asys looking at her gorgeous new watch)? You are the first woman I knoe that doesn't. True though if it is a child you shouldn't send jewellary.
Your local vintner will probably do wine delivery. I've sent Champers for special occasions. That's always nice to receive in the post. *hint hint* everybody!
Subtle as a brick Champers - lol

Hi, posy

Try 'www.cadburygiftsdirect.co.uk' (really sorrry, I have no idea how to do that link thing :) )

They have a good range and for about 24 you could send a box of chocs and a couple of bottles of wine. They also do a pick 'n' mix where you can make your own packages.

I have to avoid that site as my husband does not like me drooling on the computer.LOL

Thanks for that site Wingnut I don't even need flowers and I thought it was great.
Hi ~posy-jo~!! You could send a silver guardian angel to your friend. I've sent quite a few of these in the post as presents to girlfriends and close relatives! You can get them from places like Between the Lines (think they have a website) and they are just something nice that your friend can keep! You can get them as little pin badges or bracelets/necklaces and they're just something little that the person can keep! They've always gone down well when I get them!

sexyrussian. No I don`t like jewelery . I wear my wedding ring, a figaro chain & bracelet that my husband bought me & that`s it. Oh. My watch when I go out.
