I have curly hair but would like it to be straight for a short period of time, say a month. Hair straighteners don't work on my hair as it goes wavy after about 10 minutes. I've been told that having it permed straight would work? Anyone had this done or know what its about? Or anyone got any other suggestions, other than ironing it?? :)

Perming straight doesn't work very well ... it works a bit but you don't really end up with straight hair. The only thing that works for me is John Freida hair serum and a very large brush to blow dry my hair. Well it works until it get damp!!!
Sorry that should have said John Frieda Frizz-ease hair serum.
Try phoning Mark Jessop at this salon. He deals with tigi products and has been very helpful in recommending products and treatments for this type of hair. He has a website on http://www.jessophairdressing.com
nice one, studio_49. If you keep posting dead links you're bound to have no customers. ******** moron :-)
