i need to lose about 7st, and after watching programmes like '10 Years Younger' (god knows why) i'm scared that everything is going to go extremely saggy and i'll need surgery.

I am aware my boobs are going to suffer :o( but can anyone let me know if the rest of me will look ok?

I'm not crash dieting or doing anything extreme...i'm taking things slowly and sensibly and going to the gym. I'm 36.

I would've thought if you're doing it gradually and exercising at the same time it would be alright....
It all depends on how elastic your skin is. Some people have excellent skin and its very stretchy. Lose the weight sensibly and keep your skin in tip top condition, not only with creams but keep yourself hydrated and eat a balanced diet. The sun is also your skins worst enemy. Anyway 10lbs of extra skin is gonna look 100 times better than 7 stone of unwanted fat. A tummy tuck or a body lift will sort it if you really, really need it.

I had about 11 stone to loose and have managed to shift 4.5 stone - I am also concerned about the final result - and can see a difference in my boobs already. However I am doing this for health reasons before looks - and although I dont want all the loose skin I have deecided to do it stone by stone and try and reach a compromise with myself. But the differnce 4.5 stone has made to me and how I feel is amazing so im just carrying on.

I have lost 1.5 stone over last 6 months and am now in "ideal weight range" Unfortunately Ihave ended up with loose, wrinkly skin on upper arms (bingo wing area) and also slightly around waist area at each side.I don`t like to wear anything sleeveless now.was really trying to lose lower stomach which I`ve achieved but it always goes from wrong places first also lost in face which I could have done without.Been doing arm exercises to no avail think surgery is only answer but can`t afford and too squeamish anyway.Think a lot depends on age though and elasticity as already mentioned,I`m 57. Good luck anyway I know lots of people who`ve done it without problem.
Hi nummy, You're fairly young so I dont think you'll have too much of a problem with saggyness. I've lost over 6 stone in just about 18 months using the Slimming World Plan and my exercise bike. We were told at SW that sauna sessions help with loose skin and I can honestly say I have'nt any and I've reached my ideal weight! Im 57 too bdol 58 nest month!
Next..lol
