How can you get rid of someone who loves you much but you don't love him/her? What if he/she keeps chasing you though being told that you don't love them and even hate them?

Sit them down and spell it out in simple terms how you feel and that their refusal to accept it is not acceptable... if they still keep on chasing you then you need to tell them that if it continues you will inform someone in authority. Sometimes the only way is to be brutally honest !
Why doesn't the person in this case love the other back? Might it be that if they found that then they could understand the problem better, rather than exhaust energy fighting with someone why not try to love again? If it has passed this point then you have to break off all contact trying to be friends only lend hope that isn't really there and prolongs the pain.....best to have one really big blow out, tell them all the things that really annoy and irk, and clear the air then go and never look back. I should try taking my own advice shouldn't I?
I can talk for experience here.. I had met this guy, who seemed great, we were together for about 8 months and all along I caught him on little lies that I kinda just ignored.. but it got to a point where nothing made sense. He turned out to have lied about so many things so I broke it off with him. He was really obssesed with me, to the point where he threatened me. What I did to get rid of him was to scare him, Im a minor and he is 22 so I told him I would call the police. So I suggest that if he gets bad enough where you dont feel safe, tell him you'll get him busted for stalking. Good luck -
