Why is it after having a Blood Test that sometimes your arms ends up being bruised? Is it the nurse taking the blood has tightened the band around the arm to tight. Thanks

A small bruise may occur after your test due to blood leaking from the punctured vein and collecting under the skin. This is normal and will go down after a few days in the way any other bruise does.
I think the techique of the nurses has quite a bit to do with it too. My friend's sister who is only trained to take blood guarantees she will never leave a bruise. My GP practice nurse who I think was inexperienced left me with a horrendous black/blue/purple bruise which lasted for days. It was also very painful when she stuck the needle in - ouch!
