I'm a 30 year old female and over the last couple of months I've started to sweat a huge amount at night. I'm not waking up in the middle of night really hot or anything, I'm just waking up in the morning and my hair is wet, the sheets are wet with sweat and I don't know why. It's happening every night. My room is always really cool, I sleep with the window open almost every night and never have the radiator on over night. The really weird thing is it only seems to happen at home. I've spent a couple of nights away for work recently and also been on holiday for a few days and every night I spent away I was fine and didn't seem to sweat at all. What's going on?

I'm going to give you the boringly obvious reply & that's please see your gp about this asap. It could one of several problems & a simple blood test should rule out anything serious. Mention any other health problems you may have, however trivial you think they are.
All the best.

Hi annavc, I agree with Robinia about seeing your gp. It could be a hormonal problem, strange how you're ok when you're away tho'. Maybe those bedrooms were ultra cool? Let us know what your doc says.
have u changed anything on the bed..our flat had materass covers on all the beds and these caused everyone to sweat during the night....needless to say we dont use them now
