Are docs tests totally 100% accurate?

I've heard of negative positives from home tests, but never postive negatives (did that make sense?), you've taken 4 so I would say that not all 4 could be wrong!

Wait a week or so then try your docs again.

Oh and congrats!!!!

just make sure however possible i did three tests and 2 said negative and one said the test didnt work. like you i flet pregnant, i just felt different. but everyone said 3 tests couldnt be one so i put lack of period down to stress. 6 weeks later i had a miscarriage. So go back to the doctor and see if he will do another test

I agree with B00....as far as I am aware, you cannot get a false positive from a home testing kit, let alone 4 false positives. Frankly I'm amazed your doctor even bothered with another test, as me and most of my friends were told when going to the doc that the home tests these days were far more reliable, and so for him to do another was utterly pointless.

Go back, kick up stink, get it sorted. Cos let's face it, if you're not pregnant, you'd want to know what's wrong - something's giving you these symptoms and stopping your period.

If you are pregnant.....huge congratulations, enjoy every moment.x

i think the docs test have got to be the most accurate, i know with mine they confirmed by sending off my sample to the hospital to be tested. certain hormones can make home tests pic up a positive response your body can appaerently produce these when you believe you are expecting.

That's the word I was looking for kick!!! 'false' not 'negative'....

Gawd i'm as thick as two short planks sometimes!

hey no worries B00...after all, I knew what you meant (but I'm prone to "blonde moments" too, maybe that's why lol) :o)xx

I have never had a test done at the docs ~ I told them I had done home tests & they said that they were so accurate they wouldn't bother wasting their time doing a surgery one!

So I am with Kick3m0n & the others :o) keep on badgering..& congratulations too!

BOOs right, you can't get a "positive" mistake, only a "negative" and my Dr told me that! I have never had a pregnancy test done at the Drs because home tests are just as accurtate, so my Dr told me there was no need for him to do one if i'd done one at home! hope that was the news you wanted if so,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Have you been pregnant before, I knew absolutely I was pregnant before I took the test and I was only about 4 days late. So 4 - 1 in favour of you being pregnant, I would agree with unruliejulie in congratulating you x

Just quickly ladies as you have hapled me so far I have quite a blown up stomach and a bit of a belly ache I think its integestion I have had a lot of wind!!!! did any of you have this in early stages? and how did you help it?
Hard to tell with the wind thing, happens pretty much on a daily basis really, baby or not! Seriously, not sure, but more than likely. Bear in mind though fryergirl, we all get diferent symptoms, especially in early pregnancy. I never suffered with morning sickness which is relatively common. Aren't i the lucky one?You can get mild period like pains. Are you boobs sore? That was my tell tale sign.xx
