Tell me about it!! Today I am wearing size 16 jeans, yesterday I comfortably wore size 14 in a different brand, gets on your nerves doesn't it!?
It's not just women's clothes! Depending on the manufacturer my inside leg is between 31 and 35 inches and my waist from 32 to 36. Correct measurements using my tape are 33 and 34 respectively. Surely an inch is an inch whoever you are?
I know what you mean, wastedtalent. All the clothes in my wardrobe are in 3 different sizes! I can't ever go into a shop and without having to try it on, I can't trust the sizing x
yeah i am the same with trousers, my trousers in my wardrobe range from a size 14 all the way up to 18 and i can fit in them all. Its even happening with tops now, my tops range from a size 12 up to a size 16. I am fed up with sizes, i just get what fits and looks good on me and if i dont like the size it says on the label i just cut it out:)
snap whiskeysheri my wardrobe is full of 3 different size clothes from different shops, when i was younger i never had to try stuff on now ive had kids im always in the changing rooms.glad im not alone!!!

I even struggle with consitent sizes from the same shop!...

I am a size 10 in River Island Jeans, but an 8 in River Island trousers. Just because they are different material, why should they not measure the same?!

same here i can fit in a size 8 and a size 14 now that is strangexxxx
I am a 12/14, but have also have a few size 10 tops in my wardrobe, so it all depends on the make.

That didn't make sense!!

I am a size 12/14, but also have a few size 10 tops in my wardrobe, so it all dependes on the make.

It's ludicrous. Some shops are particularly bad (H&M is consistently about an entire size or two too small, Topshop varies wildly, Zara is just crazy, GAP is usually a size or two too big...) Warehouse and Oasis are usually spot-on, but I still need to try everything on.
I'm normally a size 12, by the way, and own clothes two label sizes either side of that. It's getting to the stage where I don't even look at the label and just pick out the size that I think looks right!
I must admit I can usually judge whether things will fit me, my husband and my son but simply looking at them. Good job, because the size labels just are so unreliable! They might as well just label them: very small, small, medium......................... up to huge. It would make much more sense!
I meant they might just as well 'display' them, rather than label them!!
Hahahahaha! I laughed out loud when I read this question! I, too, have an inflatable butt. My most recent purchase was at the weekend when I bought a size 34C bra (me usual size), went home and tried it on only to find it was too small in cup AND rib size. I had to go back and buy a 36D!!!

I tend to find that the cheaper the shop, the more likely the sizes will differ. But to be perfectly honest, one size 12 woman can be completely different to another size 12 woman. Have you ever tried on, say, 3 size 12 shirts of the same design just to find the one that is the best fit? I know I have!
Whilst in a rush the other day I purchased two pairs of trousers in two sizes ~ I tried them on when I got home & discovered that lo & behold...the size 14 was too big & the size 16 were too small. Huh??

Same happened to me a couple of week ago Champagne!

I'm usually a 36C, so bought two of the usual size - got home, tried them on & they were a tad too small. I had to go back for two 36D's! (I bought these lacy ones from Peacock's & they have a 'Secrets' label on them).

*weeks & lacey?

Ooooh as one who hates trying things on in shops this drives me mad - I'm anything from an 8 to a 12.

Champagne's post reminded me that the same goes for shoes.... I was trying on some shoes that I really liked but didn't fit in my size or the size above & below. Luckily the assistant was a lovely helpful one & she brought out all the pairs in my usual size & hey presto one of them fit perfectly.

im abloke and I find any pant or underwear size is way too small for me. Thats why I wear boxers, much more space to fill.

ha....just joking....know what you mean though
