I have only been taking Microgynon 30 for a month, and will be finishing my 7 day break on Tuesday. Am I protected straight away after this break? I have kept up with all of my other pills.

I would normally be reading the info leaflet for this type of question, but I don't have it with me at the time being!

yes you are, it's about a hundred years ago since I started taking pill, but I think you may have been protected quite early on from when you started taking it, but if you weren't then, I'm pretty sure you are by now. Don't forget even when on 7 day break you are still protected (provided you haven't missed any when you were supposed to take them!).
Yeah, I agree. If you take your pill as normal the day you're supposed to come back off your break, your protection continues, and you don't need to use condoms for a week. HURRAH!

If you google microgynon information leaflet, the top result is the leaflet from the pack. It's less than useful though with regard to answering your question. I would have thought your practice nurse or doc, or whoever gave you perscription should have told you when protection begins, but like I said above, I'm sure you're protected by now.

I missed one pill, but that was in my first week of taking it, so I have had more than 14 days of pills after that, so I should be protected!
I'm sure you can understand my concerns as a new user of the contraceptive pill! I don't want any little problems!
yes you are protected straight away. as for missing a pill - you should use contraception for 7 days after, but after 7 days of taking it correctly you are protected again.
