I get that too. Very severe sharp pain, lasts less than a minute but the pain is excrutiating! Never noticed if it coincides with my period - but I will make a point next time it happens.

ps/ Im glad Im not the only one who gets it - as no one else believes me when I say how painful it is.

But its like a dull ache and lasts sometimes a whole night. My doc says to take Ibruprofen tablets whenever it starts. Apparently it is swelling on my fallopian tubes somehow connected to my shoulder. God knows how
I would certainly go back to the docs! no one should be in that sort of pain. Mine is more spasmodic and comes and goes.

Yer but what doc said has helped, I just wondered if anyone else has ever had this
hi i get the exact same thing except its in my knees and same as you its only when im on my period. a few years ago before it occured to me that the pain coincided with my period i went to the doctor and he sent me to a physiotherapist (not sure if i spelt that right) who showed me loads of excersises to do that did seem to help, although they suggested that the pain was more linked to the fact that i play badminton a lot. dont know if that helps but you should definitely go back to the doctor if its so bad you cant sleep
my mum had pains in her shoulder and the doctor told her it was trapped wind she gets someone to rub her back (like winding ababy) and it soon goes
Question Author
No its not wind
