Gap in legs?

You know the gap you have between your thighs. What is the best way/excercises to increse this? So that when you stamd with ankles together there is a substansial space between them at the top.

if you have a "substantial" gap between your thighs when you stand with your ankles together, you're too skinny.

and if you are not so priveleged what are some good exercises?

Cycling is good at firming up this area

the problem with cycling is that it lays down a lot of muscle. I dont want loads of muscle i just want a bigger gap, apparently training that area with the right weight machine on low weights and high reps should do it. I used to be able to get my fist through with space to spare now i can bearly see through them.

exercise your thighs in the gym and your gonna build muscle and close the gap up more.


what do you want a big gap for anyway?


Almost everyone I have ever seen with this 'substantial gap' (other than Barbie)is suffering from one eating dissorder or another. its not attractive at all.
Hi Goodsoulette, there is a small piece of exercise equipment I use to tone the inner thigh. Argos, used to stock it, but couldnt find it, but if you go to Woolworth web page and type in Thigh toner. They have one there. Cheap! Good luck

Gucciman..... to make muscles bigger you have to break the fibres and let them build back up, thats why you ache so bad after a session. The only way you can lose weight in a specific area is to lay down a little bit of lean tissue and then work that muscle on low weight and high reps, to therefore tone that area withput becoming the size of a house. Makes sense cause I did the same with the back of my arms, i asked my instructor anyway thanks, just wanted a little experience from ladies who increased there gap too.

Elle macphearson & Rachel hunter have both admited to eating problems and their supermodel status has meant there are numerous pictures of them like stick insects.


A little bit of daylight between the legs is OK, but as for fitting your 'fist inbetween'... im sure most people would be concerned about how you would look, and nearly all would say its unattractive. The kind of gym equipment the others are talking about is for reducing thigh fat, not for aiding abnormal compulsions on the body shape of celebritys who spend 4 hours a dayin the gym, and 2 hours a day with their heads down the toilet.

Right I have come accross as a crazy anorexic and I am not. I have slightly knocked knees so the thinner my legs are at the top the les stupid they look.

You haven't had much sympathy have you, well i'm with you......I'm happy with my body shape, eat sensibly and excercise when I can, but yes like you i would like to know how i can tone my inner thighs, outer thighs arnt a problem, with squats, lunges etc, but I could do with a piece of equipment or advice on excersises to tone these areas..
