You could try changing your diet.

Eliminate all dairy produce - replace with soya products. Avoid all pork products, spicy food, sugar, and cut out caffine for one month. You should see an improvement.

There is no cure, according to doctors. However - having been given every conceivable steroid cream as well as ultra-violet treatment - I found the most effective remedy was an over-the-counter cream called Alphosyll. Granted, my skin was affected only on a tiny area and the problem returns periodically, but it does work. Give it a try...it'll do no harm.
Hi Holden. I read about this recently in my magazine and I still have it to hand. The woman in question had suffered miserably with Psoriasis for many years and was at her wits end until she was referred to a dermotologist who advised her that it was most probably triggered by a throat infection although she would probably have had it anyway , as the condition is hereditary. SHe was advised to try a remedy called Oregon Grape Root extract which is available in a natural cream and spray. She claims that after about four weeks her patches were starting to shrink and after six weeks , her patches had all but cleared up. She still uses it now apparently. My friend also bought a product from the Boots homeopathy range called Arsenicum Albinas or Ars. Alb as it appears. They are tiny little tablets which I think you suck and allow to dissolve on your tongue. Ask your doctor to advise you as there are dozens of products now on the market rather than the old tar treatment of years gone by. I guess it will just be a case of trial and error until you find what's best for you. The minerals in Dead Sea products such as soap , body scrubs etc (also available from Boots and Superdrug) are meant to help too. If your Doctor isn't much help , then why not speak with a dermatologist who will be able to advise you on the best suited product for you. I hope that this helps x
Sun and sea water. My partner suffered from it really bad in the UK and it cleared up every time we went away on holiday. Now we live in Spain and it's gone completely.
Assuming you don't hide yourself away from the sun, is your psoriasis worse in the winter than in the summer? If so, more sunlight would seem beneficial, in which case a permanent move to the Mediterranean area, for example, sounds like a good idea.
For years I have tested so many techniques to help my Psoriasis, and some things have helped more than others. Some things I have done have worked very well. Many other people have different stories on what helped them the most. For more informations, visit
