~There's a phone number for Helen Brown at the bottom of this page. You could try ringing and asking for her email address.

Thanks Everyone.
Anything addressed to Helen Brown, which looks as if it's some sort of complaint, will almost certainly be re-routed to the PALS team anyway. (It'll be part of Ms Browns' secretary's duty to filter out such mail). So you might as well simply email [email protected] anyway.

Peter Pedant - my MiL is in there. Nurses on her 'ward' (a pokey side room with about 6 beds) are sullen, disengaged and devil-may-care! To be fair to them - so would I be if I had to do their work and get underpaid for it - and be expected to be grateful the 'public' only appreciate my efforts by giving me the clap!
MiL cannot get out of bed. No one answers the alarm thing she presses. She was calling out for help to go to toilet. One nurse asked her across the room so all other patients could hear - 'Do you want to do a number 1 or a number 2'? When Mil replied a number 1, same nurse called across - "fancy wanting to go for a pee during breakfast. I'll come and change your nappy when everyone has finished their breakfast." Either we get a personal apology from CEO or, when I get the name of said offending nurse, I am amazingly good at finding people's home addresses, so she may want to make amends rather pronto.
I've promised my wife if I ever need to go into a hospital I will kill myself first.
If you want to make an official complaint you need to do it via the complaints team at the hospital. they have statutory timescales within which to respond, whereas if you email the chief exec you wont even know if they have received it. As Buenchicostates, anything that goes directly to her will get syphoned off to the PALS/complaints team anyway.
Rather than expecting a personal apology rom the cheif exec, then tracking her down like a demented loon when you dont get it, it would be much better (and much more likely to get you satisfaction) to either address your concerns to the ACTUAL people whose behaviour has fallen below standards AT THE TIME or get PALS to help you resolve it
I don’t think low salary is a good enough excuse for disrespecting a patient .
Ask to talk to the ward manager, if no joy, make an appointment with your mums consultant.
Good luck .
