My Autistic daughter will only drink Hot Chocolate, we do ration her, but I was wondering what effect too much might have on her, I really don't know, and locally, no-one else seems to, but its something thats been preying on my mind lately. If anyone has an idea on this, it'd be appreciated. Thanks.

Dairy is excess is not good for anyone. Nor is sugar, which pretty much sums it up. You could try buying the Options type which you make with water and which is only 40 cals. Or you can do what i do, and make it with soya milk (So Good or Alpro) and Green and Black's hot choc powder, which is dairy free and has a higher cocoa content and less sugar.

Thanks Scarlett, we make it with half water, and the milk is skimmed, but the Green and Blacks sound interesting, can you tell me which shops stock it?.
I get mine in tescos! It's a big store, so any large supermarket will have it.

Okey Dokey, thanks a bunch.
Chocolate naturally has caffeine in it (of course not as much as coffee). If your daughter is on any medications, check with her doctor to see if caffeine would interfere.
