First of a 3 parter about Maxine Carr - the gf of Ian Huntley - the Soham murderer who murdered the two 10 yr olds in 2002. Their photo was seen nationwide of the two together in their red Man Utd shirts.

What did you think??
I didn't but will most likely binge watch it - providing i find the first episode interesting enough.

Hi Ken, I found it very good.

I was just never quite sure whether she KNEW what he had done, and gave him an alibi, or whether she just suspected…..
Good grief, no.
Not my idea of entertainment
^^Nor mine!
Yes I watched it and thought it was quite good. She's coming across as not knowing he did it, but maybe suspecting that he did. Everybody goes on about how much she is hated, but I can say, hand on heart, I hate Baby P's mother much more than I hate her.
I've recorded it.
Tried viewing most of the first part. It was rubbish. Terrible acting.
I wonder what the parents of the murdered children think about the programme. Surely they wouldn't be able to watch it.
I doubt very much the parents of the two murdered girls will be watching. They were 'reached out to', as were many more who were directly involved.
Not just their parents, but the wider family and the school friends, many who have waved their own children off to school today.
Carr's own family - her parents, siblings, cousins - are also innocent people who will be very unhappy to have this appalling crime in the spotlight again.

Don't think dramas, or documentaries, should be made while the convicted are alive. Some kill for notoriety and others get a kick out of being 'famous'. Maxine Carr is out there somewhere with a new identity, whether she should be is open to debate.
Agree with aa though, the acting wasn't the best.
I am actually enjoying it (I haven't seen the last episode yet) because it isn't going into anything about the children, just showing what's happening to Huntley and Carr. It's nice to see Steve Edge playing such a different part though I loved him as Alan in Phoenix Nights.
I watched two episodes last night and thought it very good. It really held my interest.

Why on earth did she put up with him at all? What a creature!
Love really is blind, Naomi.
It must be!
Should never have been made in my view. Everyone knows what happened, and those too young to have known should not be subjected to such anytime soon. But eh, that's channel 5 for you anything goes to get the viewers.
