I have had a colonoscopy last week where a 20cm tumour was detected in the siganoid region of my bowel - due to the size of the tumour the camera was unable to pass- I am having a CT scan Monday on the rest of my bowel chest and pelvis.
I have pain in my buttocks lower back and right side under my ribs x
Has anyone had similar to myself?
Survival rates?
Thank you

There are many, many people on this site (including me) who've been diagnosed with cancer and very fact that we are here should be quite a good indication that such a diagnosis doesn't automatically mean that you need to start thinking about booking the crematorium! (50% of people in this country get cancer). So don't start panicking too much!

I've got a different type of cancer (prostate) but I've been through chemotherapy, and pelvic radiotherapy, and I can assure you that it's probably nowhere as bad as you might think it is. (With the exception of tiredness, any side effects of chemo can usually be easily treated these days and radiotherapy is an absolute doddle).

Good luck!
Good luck with your investigations .
Missfaye, I would suggest that you have misheard in that a 20 cm sigmoid tumour is huge....HUGE and I think that you really mean a sigmoid tumour "AT" 25 cms in the sigmoid colon.
One needs to know the result of the biopsy, type of tumour and results of your scan before we can give you a meaningful answer to your question particularly survival rates.
You’re up late sqad .
LOL.....the post concerning a 25cm tumour has kept me awake...LOL
And me ?
Have you had your scan yet ?
