I have hardly seen the Sun in the past two or three years, and on the odd occasion I have been outside, I seem to get prickly heat on my upper chest – which is usually the only part of me exposed. It’s goes red and itchy and a bit bumpy. How can I be so ridiculously sensitive to the sun?! I’m sure I never used to be. I was in the car today for about an hour or so, and I have a really red itchy chest, and didn’t even go outside the car!
Is it possible to develop an extreme sensitivity to sunlight/heat?

Are you taking any medications or on any medical treatments? Some antibiotics (e.g. the tetracyclines) or NSAIDS (e.g. naproxen), as well as many other drugs can greatly increase sensitivity to the sun's rays, as can treatments such as chemotherapy.

Yes and that clearly has happened in your case.

Yes I’ve been taking Naproxen - but I think I became hypersensitive before that. Wondered if it was due to hardly being outside for years?
