I honestly had the best nights sleep last night after covering the soles of my feet with it , I’d heard it many times before and poo-pooed it but since having covid my sleep pattern hasn’t been good , I really hope this isn’t seen as an advert for the stuff , it isn’t but it definitely worked although Lola who’s been my shadow throughout, backed away haha , my smell and taste haven’t returned yet so it didn’t bother me anyway

Has anyone else used or heard about using suppositories to combat colds/coughs in babies?
Sounds foreign to me or is it just modern thinking.

Antibiotics given to children was and still is very common, particularly in the E.U countries, but never heard of cough suppressants being used rectally.

I smear Vicks on the corners of the furniture in the hall to stop the cats sharpening their claws there.

Best stuff ever for congestion, lost count of the years I've been using it and how many years its been around.
The best method I've used for a long long time is, I have a old babies bottle warmer. Fill with hot water to begin with ( saves waiting) for bottle warmer to heat up, add 2 teaspoons of Vick, leave switched on to med or hot, leave next to bed on floor allowing the vapor to rise and fill the room all night. Snooooozzzzz

I've seen adverts recommending applying it around the eyes...nooooo! I've no idea what the benefit is.
I can vouch for it working for fungal nail though...persistance is needed, but it does work. And a lot cheaper than any other supposed cure.

The only time I have tried Vick's, was on a newborn baby with a cough/cold. Maybe a few weeks old, and it wasn't advised to use on them. I dipped a tissue into some, and just left it in the bedroom that night. She slept through, with no more coughing or sneezing. Definitely worked.
