Detox diets or plans

In preparation for a wild and unhealthy New Years, can anyone recommend any good detox plans or diets to start in January? I've never done one but am curious and think it may be a good way to start off the year.

Dr Gilian McKieths ' you are what you eat' is the most thorough that I have seen and actaully explains why you should and shouldn't eat certain foods. Has some short detoxes and some long term eating plans

The fruit diet is an easy detox diet. Have nothing else but fruits and water 2 days a week for a month. It's supposed to be good, and it's easy to do.

I recommend Carol Vorderman's detox diet. It is very simple and less expensive/hevay duty than Dr.Gillian's. I did it and lost 2 stone. You also learn a lot about how your body works.

The best diet by far is weight watchers. i was dubious for years (i have always been overweight) then when a colleague loast 2 stone and started lookin fab i hd no choice but to give it a go.


you can eat chocolate (in moderation), drink etc. it's great!


I have now loast 3.5 stone and look and feel better than i havein years.


I have treid every diet under the sun and i always fall off the wagon cos theyre so restrictive but ww isn't.


plus, the meetings are great.


have a look on the website and look in te chat rooms, it's quite inspiring. good luck! if i can do it, anyoen can. i am such a chocoholic and i have zero will power. go for it.
