Woke fundamentalism or Muslim fundamentalism? I once thought the latter but now I think the former is more terrifying, discuss.

being offended at the slightest hint of so called racism, getting offended on behalf of other people, taking the knee when half the people haven't a clue why they are doing it. and so much more.

Be fair Gully, Thatcher may have been many things, but I'm not sure anyone could accuse her of that. She was no lady.
Maybe just fundamentalists, full stop. Your question is similar to would usually rather be eaten by a tiger or a shark.
"Woke" is a ridiculous word- and I haven't yet seen a single person on AB, that is couldn't be applied to, by somebody else... just like snowflake or virtue signaller. Those are just name-calling, really (and as far as I'm aware, I haven't personally been called any of them... but I've seen it to others).
Taking your question literally- both.
"You", not "usually"
.
I think shark would be quicker & therefore preferable!

‘Wokeism’. When that kicks in criticism of anything that might concern
the unwoke is off the agenda and silenced.
Good point, dave :-)
Snowflake is one that makes me laugh Pixie. I get called a snowflake if I disagree with something the right like, but when people whine about too many black faces or gay couples on tv, or footballers taking the knee, that's okay. It seems you're only a snowflake if you support what they deem to be woke.
That isn't what it means, though, naomi.

//Woke (/ˈwoʊk/ WOHK) is a term that refers to awareness of issues that concern social justice and racial justice. It is sometimes used in the African-American Vernacular English expression stay woke//

Free speech comes under "social justice". You are "woke" if you are arguing for that.
This is the problem, it means something different to everybody- and therefore, nothing.
That's what I mean, mozz... it's literally used to mean "i disagree" by somebody too childish or lazy to explain why.
Did you see the anger, outrage, upset, uproar on here, when a statue was pushed over?
Virtue-signalling, woke snowflakes, could have easily been applied. But no, for the people who actually use those words.... their offence is "entirely justified" :-)
I know what it means thank you pixie. The problem is if you are woke your idea of social
Justice isn’t justice. It’s something that suits your agenda which is why ‘no platforming’ is so very popular with the woke.
No. It isn't. No-platforming is the opposite of woke. Do keep up :-)
I can’t think why you’re smiling, pixie. In the face of wanton vandalism and civil unrest why isn’t objection justified?
You’ve got it wrong, pixie. Woke has moved on. You keep up.
17:51 Spot on !
Well, it's the same with "virtue signalling". To me that indicates that you are supporting a cause (or similar) solely because it makes you look good. It never enters the mind of someone using that term that you may actually believe in whatever it is you say, and frankly, even if it does, they ignore it because it's easier to insult the person in question. It's a lazy phrase.
Was it the toppled statues in Syria or Afghanistan that occasioned such mirth in you, pixie.
Naomi, that has been and gone, no-platforming is "unwoke". May be different tomorrow, of course. But choosing your own definition of a word, doesn't really help with getting a point across.
I'm smiling, because that wasn't about "vandalism" any more than about graffiti on a wall.
The threads involved several posters bleating that pushing over a statue, meant that British history was being deleted. (Yes, really).
No, spice, the reactions of hypocrites on here.
You really do need to keep up, pixie.
