I watched the commemoration from the Royal Albert Hall and from the Cenotaph this morning and thought they were both lovely.

I opened the gate to our memorial this morning at 8:30am so people can leave their wreaths and pay their respects but no gathering was allowed.

Not that ill informed whan I was stationed in Malta I often heard sailors refer to members of 40 and 45 Commandos as pongos.
