Has anyone bought these hair straighterners they are 20 in Boots. I have very thick hair so a lot of cheaper hair straighterners dont work on my hair. I was wondering what people thought of them and whether i should buy them. 20 would be a bargain if they work ok

thanks x

Hi - GHD hair staighteners are supposed to be the way forward. I think they're quite pricey though but they are supposed to be brilliant.

here's a link to them

thanks for the suggesiton but I am sooo skint, especially just before xmas, had a pair of really good sraighteners, cost me 65 and my boyfriend stood on them and broke them!!

I have some Remington ceramic coated jobs, they're black and the plates are a kind of yellowy-orange colour. They cost about 30 and are very good ... not GHD good but if you give them 30-45 seconds to warm up they do the job. I've tried loads of brands over the years and these are the best in
I agree with eels. the remmington ones are great for thick hair
